MY PC freeze after some time

Hello to all,

I manager to fight with sleep and probably with explorer.exe problem and dispapiring DVD problem it seems I had it all )..but I can not solve this problem.

After some time when I play game my internet connection goes nuts i.e receive light do not stop to blink and it does at enormous rate and computer freeze.
It happens randomly i.e sometime it does not happen and sometime it does. In this time Skype Avast and Zone Alarm is on. My configuration is:

AMD 965 X4
Gigabyte 790XT UDP4
4 GB Ram 2*2 Kongston 1600
1 TB disk and 1 0.5 TB disk
I have Scientific Atlanta modem connected on on boar LAN.
Windows 7 x64

I am including msinfo32 info and HWmonitor info in txt format I hope that someone can help me. I can not determine is it problem with this particular game (League of Legends) or it is global problem since this thing happens pretty random...

I also did clean install and installed the newest drivers I could find on this computer i.e no other OS was present.

why are you using two antivirus\spyware at the same time ?

I use avast (free version) as antivirus and zone alarm just as firewall (it is free version) in the past this combination works good for me. ALso nwo additional movie freezing occurs.

is there anything unusual in performance information and tools\advanced and also have a dig around in event viewer looking for errors as close to the freeze time stamp as possible

i found those suspicious and cosidering tools performance all is on expect Save Task bar thumbnail previews, DEP is on for all programs and no exceptions are made, best perfromace are for programs

maybe look for a firmware update and or newer driver for your dvd rom and not sure about adobe :huh:

do you have a graphics card ?

what size is your power supply ?

any idea what temperatures you are running ?

how do you recover from the freeze ?

I have the newest firm ware for my DVD tough it is old IDE drive.
MY PSU is now 750 W Chieftech before that I had LC 550 W PSU and I changed it few days ago becouse I tough it is was dying.
Temepratures are shown in MY HW monitor report I attached it in here.
Rougly in IDle state CPU is around 39 and when 100 % load (Prime 95) it is around 54
GPu is between 30 and 65, HDDs are around 25-35 all the time. I do not do any overclocking thing.

When freeze come computer play some squikiy sound and after few seconds all is frozen so only Restart helps. After restart when computer was frozen I noticed that then when computer posts some small barly noticabe lines appear on post and windows loading screen which dispaears when windows switch to desktop. Those lines shows only when restart is done when Win freeze and only on post and win loading screen. They never showed on Desktop, some program or when windows is regulary turned on.

Freeze happens to me few times when I was playing games and once while I was watching movies.
I found on some other forum that considering that driver problem DEP should be set to off for it so I done that but I have had no time to test it. I will test it today how it behaves.

I also have one another error but I do not bealive it is connected to resets it says

Windows update could not be installed because of error 2147942413 "The data is invalid." (Command line: ""C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe" C:\Users\n\AppData\Local\Temp\010410220020\Windows6.0-KB929547-v2-x64.msu /quiet /norestart")

This is all errors I could find in applicaion section.

Also someone said that USB legacy support should be set to disabled in BIOS for this kind of errors I will also try that.

As last resort I will try to repair with DVD disk Win instalation. Then I am out of options ....

When freeze come computer play some squikiy sound

try going into control panel\sound\sounds tab and play all the windows sounds to see if you can identify it, and then check what it is meant to represent ?

also if your worried you might have some corrupted windows files, to try fix them by run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt

when it happens again , on the reeboot hit pause to see if you can catch the lines on post and windows loading screen ?

I wonder if this is an audio driver crash ?

I run integrity check and it appears that some files are corrupted (which I do not know) so I will try to repair windos instalation and see how it will behave.

I performed repair from DVD disk and now sfc command does not show any errors and it seems that DVD driver error also dispear. On some strange way it seems that this corruption seems to mess with my Graphic and sound card. Unfortuantly I do not know what it was since I do not know what to look at scf flies...When I return from work I will test machine to see if it perofmrs ok tough I have a feeling that now all will be ok or at least under the acceptable range. That is my hopes if not then only other method is clean install and if not then XP is mine again ...

OK now I am back from work and here is the deal explorer.exe was crashing again but with less severity then i applied two hot fixes. One sugested in latter post for SATA disk and one KB976038 for ntdll file and for now it works for around 2 hours with no issues at all.

I hope it will continue like that.
