I have free internet form morning 2.00 so i usually sleep my pc and scheduled it to start and download at 2.00

The problem i am facing is now my PC is not sleeping.the moniter goes off and its light is blinking(as it should be) but my CPU is not.the power light is on and HDD LED is also blinking. The fans are also working(3 Fans).

Usually what happens is that the mniter goes off and cpu powers down all fans go off and power led starts blinking.

and how can i stop my mouse from waking PC(I turned off wake by mouse event in device manager).

It worked well before.suddenly it stoped.
fans are connected to the hdd(took an extension from it.)
suspend state in BIOS was auto a changed to s3 but not working still

Welcome!

Did your machine ever sleep the way you would like it to? Try setting the sleep state in your BIOS to Auto, or enable S3 sleep and Suspend to RAM.

Unless the fans are connected to a special fan controller, they will never go off unless the machine is Hibernated or shut down.

Try enabling the setting in Device Manager for waking your machine with the mouse, then disabling it again.

Try this stuff. It helped me and I have a feeling it will help you too. Good luck!

Windows 7 does not go to sleep

JK is right as always too. S3 and S1 are settings you should have in the BIOS. S1 is "light sleep" and S3 is a "deeper sleep" Some boards have S1 AND S3 as one setting....But I'll bet it something in the power settings. You may want to try resetting one to defeult to see what happens.

Like JK says, S3 is just "deeper" sleep. I would leave it on whatever you have now if it's working. You can try S3 if you would like. It won't hurt anything.

As I recall S1 is "suspend to RAM" and S3 is more like suspending to hard drive.,,,but don't quote me on that.

I'm glad to hear you got it working!

Not quite. Hit up the link, it is actually pretty easy to understand.

S3 is Suspend to RAM.
