Solved Moving my C drive to another PC

Hi,
My old PC's motherboard died and I removed the SSD and HDD, it was running Win 7 (64bit) Retail (that I activated in 2010)
Now I'm getting notices on my screen saying that I'm running a counterfeit version of Windows.
I have tried to get into my Microsoft acc., but without success. MS accepts that I have an acc., but will not accept the code it sends.

Is there a way to tell MS that I have moved my RETAIL Home Premium to another computer, that I'm entitled to do?

I have the Product key, Product ID and the installation discs, all bought from Currys, by me, in 2010.

Now I'm getting "Activate now" and other threatening messages. The "Activate now" message looked genuine, but these days you never Know.
Can anyone help please?

It will be genuine, Windows has detected that you've made a major hardware change and needs to be activated again.

Try activating online....

You might have to activate Windows 7 again if...

...You make a significant hardware change to your computer, such as upgrading the hard disk and memory at the same time. If a major hardware change requires activating Windows again, you will be notified and will have three days to activate Windows.
Activate Windows 7 Online

If that fails, then try automated phone activation. I used that successfully myself about 3 years ago.

Activate Windows 7 by Phone

Phone activation does still work. I did it not long ago for Windows 7. It even still works for Vista, did that too! As long as your license is valid it will most likely work. You don't have to actually talk to somebody. Just follow the directions as to what phone number to call. You just speak the numbers on your screen. Have a pencil ready to copy the numbers they give you. Put them in. Voila, Windows activates.

Very many thanks Bree,
I followed the activate instructions and within a blink of an eye, MS activated my version of Win 7.
Now all I have to do is activate my eMClient acc., which has been lost in the ether. Hopefully I'll be able to recover it, but I'm not confident, as I've lost it previously and it's still flying around the Universe.
Cheers,
John

Lost eMCLIENT data

Hi,
I recently recovered the SSD and HDD from my old PC, which died (dead motherboard).
I have re- registered my retail copy of my Win 7 64X successfully, BUT cannot find all my old emails and original copy of eMCLient on either of my two drives.
Once I had succeessfully opened my drives and got back up on the Internet I tried to search for my emails online, without success. Then downloaded a new copy of eMClient, which seems to have wiped all my old eMClient data.
Can anyone help?
John
