Solved My PC keeps shutting down while trying to install Windows 7

Can't you boot the WIn7 DVD, press Shift F10 to open a command line to wipe the HD using tutorial I posted?

You don't need an installed Windows to do this, just boot to diskpart as listed in the tutorial.

I can not get that far into the installation before the computer shuts off. Altogether my computer isnt even up for 15 seconds before the shutdown. This issue occurs before I am ever at a screen where i can select anything.

I ran the memory test off the windows cd and after 7 passes on extended mode it found no erros last night. Issue is happening with 2 different HDD's. Both are brand new with nothing on them. CMOS has been reset several times. BIOS finds everything w/o a problem.

Try another PSU. You can borrow or buy one to see if it solves the issue.

If you call ahead and find a time when they're not busy, the Geek Squad will plug in their PSU for you to see if the problem solves. If so just buy a new one there for $50 or shop online for a better price.

Will do. Do you really think a 650w diablotec cant run 1 HDD, a DVD burner, and the MB tho? or just a faulty unit?

Find out by swapping in another PSU long enough to see.
