BSOD on new build while trying to install Windows 7 Pro, error 0x124

I just finished a build and the computer booted fine. I can access the BIOS no problem; when I tried to install Windows 7 pro, however, I would get the BSOD with error 0x124. After a few failed attempts, I took out the video card (Asus R9 390), and was successful in installing the OS. Now I get periodic BSOD. They seem to happen periodically and at random times. When I'm browsing, while drivers are being installed, or I'll walk away for a few minutes and come back to a restarted computer.

What can I do to get rid of this issue? any help would be greatly appreciated.

So far I've tried unplugging and replugging everything.
I also did a memory check (mdsched.exe) but it turned up nothing.

Please try to visit Windows Update and install every update available, it may take some time to get them all and for searching. Ignore the Windows 10 update.
