Solved my pc peebs upon start then turns off ..?

Hello ...
I have a custom built PC that has been working so fine for few months ..
Out of a sudden today while i turned it on ... it started then beeped continously and rappidly then turned off (all within no more than 10 seconds) that it didnt even load into the bios screen .. and the monitor acted as if its not attached .. then it turns on by itself and the same thing happens ... turns of then on and so on ...
I used it yesterday and it was all fine the only thing i did that was out of usual was changing the resolution of one of my games to maximum ... then turned it off .
*the beep is rapid and all beeps have the same pitch*
Any possible cause to look for?

The beep is telling you something, you have to google what those beeps mean, whether it`s a video card error or a memory error etc.

You said you made a change in the game resolution and then it started, right there should tell you what the issue is.

Beeps codes are a computer or bios`s way of telling us something`s wrong.

I would put everything back to the way it was before the beep started.

If that doesn`t fix it, then, re seat all the memory, still beeps, remove the video drivers, take out the video card and re seat it, reinstall the video drivers.

Post your results.

Thank you for commeting ... but how can i put things back as before if i cant even reach to the point of safe mode screen?

If i couldnt do the previous step (putting resolution back to normal) and only reseated those hardwares ... would it actually work if the game is really the reason?

Oh Ok, when you said you used it yesterday and all was fine I mis read that.

If that is the only change you made then what do you think ?

I have no idea what you did to the pc, it was working fine, you made a change and now it beeps.

Computers tend to run perfectly (for me anyway) until we make a change to them that turns out for the worse.

But simply changing the game resolution SHOULD NOT have an ill affect on it, but who knows.

All my games are always maxed out, but then I have significant hardware.

I would start with the 2 hardware suggestions I made.

Something is causing the beep and not even letting you pass the POST, so it must be hardware related.

One thing I suggest is to set your bios back to defaults by hitting F5 in the bios, that is, once you can get into the bios again.

A GT520 is not very good for significant gaming, so maybe something happened to it, try using the motherboard graphics for a bit.

I opened the case and saw that when my pc starts the sound seems to come from the motherboard .. the fan which seems a part of the motherboard doesnt work at the start but works later .... however i reseated my single RAM to the other slot and started the pc ... at first it worked fine .. so i turned it off ... closed the case and restarted the pc ... the problem now is a mix sometines as before another time is another beep pattern and monitor again acts as if there is no signal detection but the case keeps turned on ..

I know my GPU is a bad one but it was the only option for me as i live in war condition and no marketing what so ever .. however my game is an old one of 2012( the reckoning) so i dont know if its too much for it ... so if it ever worked how can i use motherboard graphics only?

One note .. i just remembered that yesterday while i was playing the mouse was lagging sometimes for less than a second then works fine for few minutes then lags again ... i ignored it since i didnt see any window popping up ...

You have two ram slots and you state you have one stick of ram. Why?
You have a dual channel motherboard with two ram slots and you should be using two ram modules, (sticks).

Yes actually i have only one and my pc has been working fine for about 5 months with (gaming , photoshop ... ect)

So could this be the problem and all i need is 2 RAM sticks?

You can run with one stick as long as it is plugged into the proper slot of your motherboard according to the motherboard manual. Doing so will put your motherboard in Single Channel.
Using two sticks will put your motherboard in Dual Channel.
Running in Dual Channel will run faster than running in Single Channel.

I recommend if you choose to run in Dual Channel, do so with a matched set of ram sticks.

Having only 1 stick has nothing to do with your problem. As long as the speed and size is supported it will run fine.

I would tear your machine apart and put it all back together again, slowly, making sure every connection is good and tight.

If you have motherboard graphics, use them at first, this will tell us if there is a problem with the GT520.

Do that and your PC will work perfectly.

I thought I explained it properly. Maybe not.

Using one stick of ram in the proper slot as per the motherboard manual will not cause the problem. Using 2 sticks of proper ram would be better.
Being a new build I thought it would be a good recommendation. Maybe not, I guess.

I took my case to a repairshop because i dont have enough experience to tear it apart myself ...
He said that the problem has been caused by an electrucal short (looks like my electrical supply voltage has been unstable) ...he repaired it somehow and all parts were normally functioning and now its working fine after i plugged to another socket with voltage contoller .
