My PC can't sleep. In the exact moment it enters into sleeping mode it wakes up.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Thanks!

Disable allowing the mouse or LAN activity from waking it as one or the other of these is your likely culprit.

Yip laser mouse sitting in cradle can still twitch and wake it up.

I disabled that and only let it wake by keyboard now.

Go to control panel/mouse/hardware/properties/change settings/power management. Unclick "allow mouse to wake up computer."

Same sequence with the keyboard. Just select keyboard rather than mouse in control panel obviously.

Hope this is as clear to you as I think it is. :-)

The above may not be enough, look in Device Manager after that and see if the Mouse and Keyboard still say same after changing the above.

Good catch. I use my mouse to wake the computer so I've never used Control Panel to disable it. Just now tried it and, as you say, in device manager it was still checked to wake.

Good to know, if I can remember. :D

question... if you disable both the mouse and keyboard from waking the machine up... how do you wake it up?

You can set the off/on switch to wake it up. I prefer the keyboard or mouse, personally. Too many times when I've used the Power switch I turn it off completely and have to go through a reboot with the message that "windows shut down unexpectedly blah...blah...blah.."
