This is my first post to this forum, so this is hello! Obviously my problem is my pc wont sleep, it wakes a second or two after I press sleep. I checked google and this forum for a few hours and come up empty handed. Event viewer has no record of the pc even going into sleep mode, through the filter "power - troubleshooter". Any help would be appreciated and I can provide more info if needed. Thanks for your time

Hello Axxice, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if the tutorial below may be able to help you determine what may be waking up your computer like this. In particular, try the Step 4 section to see if gives you a device that may be responsible.

Hope this helps,

When I had this problem it turned out to be both the network and mouse causing the computer to wake almost immediately. Disabling Windows' ability to wake on input from these devices solved the problem for me, and hitting any key on the keyboard is no trouble to wake my PC up.

The guide that Brink posted seems to follow the same method that I found elsewhere, and so should clear up your problem :)

Other Info
No matter what your specs, my PC is better.
Disabling the Network Adapters ability to wake the PC worked for me. Disable through device manager.
