So I've had this virtual optical drive around for a while and I was finally going to use it, but when I launched Alcohol, I discovered that the amount of virtual drives was set to zero so that virtual drive isn't operated by that application. I also couldn't mount another one through it so I have to remove the old one, but I have no idea what application is responsible.

Any ideas on how to find out?

Is Alcohol all you have installed? Do you have another program like an ISO DVD creator program or something else? The Device Manager could help, too.

That's kind of what I'm trying to figure out, I've checked the only other program I could think of that also support virtualization but it also has virtualization disabled at the moment, and I don't remember having any other ones - which is to say that I have no idea what program is mounting it, and I'm trying to determine which one it could be. I did check the device manager settings for it to try and find some clues but didn't find anything useful. The "manufacturer" is named UXK but google didn't turn up anything useful.

Although Cyberlink's virtual drive appears to be disabled, I decided to check services on msconfig and there is a cyberlink virtual drive service that's currently disabled, maybe enabling that will get me somewhere.
