Need 32bit to 64bit Workaround

Sorry, but you're saying that the disk I have now would have to be 64-bit? That was the whole point of this thread...that I have a 32-bit disc but need a 64-bit install without having to buy a new copy just for that.

What we've tried to say is that do not need to buy a new license, just find a 64 bit installer for your version to clean reinstall with the same Product Key.

But clarification was needed because the source of your Win7 is highly unusual, hence I've now asked you four times if you have a Product Key which is how Win7 is activated.

You can borrow an installer or if necessary google an "official Win7 ISO download" to burn to DVD using ImgBurn at 4x speed. Then follow these steps for getting a perfect reinstall: Reinstalling Windows 7

Sorry Greg - I did respond but I just realized that I did so to another person who asked the same question thinking it was you having had two windows open. I appreciate your patience.

I do have a product key sticker...goldenrod color with MS trademark and key graphic and I've activated it twice with MS...once just recently and they didn't say anything about it an RC copy or anything like that.

Then you should be good to go with a 64 bit install.
