Need advice on an ISO project

I use a flash drive to carry around a bootable "toolbox" I made, which I use to check HDD's, Load remote registry's, sometimes resize or copy whole HDD's or partitions. Most of the tools are a bunch of Dos utilities I have collected over the years.

I always add or remove items, and so I have to recreate the ISO image occasionally. It's a bootable Linux image that allows me to choose from several functions including boot the the HDD, and it's based on Hiren's but I added a whole bunch more to it over the last 10 years.

I keep it on an ISO image but I have changed it since the last time I altered it.

Right now, I want to back up the whole flash drive and retain the boot image because I added a whole bunch of new things to it and don't want to loose my changes - I'd like to be able to make a bootable copy of the whole drive, what is the best way to do that, or, should I just use UltraISO or PowerISO and edit the drive contents, adding in the most recent changes I made?

Whatever is the simplest, but if there is a tool that can make a direct copy with and archive it to re create the drive, I'd like to do that. It's mostly Windows 7 and 8 tools, some 10 tools too.

The question is that;

In the beginning, how do you create this current flash drive, as this is the very first step in doing any ISO imaging.

For me, i use this forum recommended Rufus that have both as portable and installation mode.
But beside this, there are DOSBOX and Win98boot as using HPflash to create as bootable in Windows 98 version.
Also in this forum there are this Mini Tools Partition Wizard that also have a bootable version.

In doing such project, there is one basic rule i learn so far.

There is a need to keep a copy of all the necessary tools in one folder, for example.
Next is the notes on how the procedure and which bootable creator used.
This is so that if there are new tools to add into this Unique flash drive, you can safely do it much faster.

Most of tools & utilities are basically standalone & portable types.


Anyway, you could use most CD/DVD creator to do the job.
Such as;
ImgBurn --> Create Image from Disc; but may not be suitable.

Best is the ISOBuster.
Only the paid version allow you to do the job as you want.
ISOBuster can and able to do the reverse engineering.
Follow by adding any files to it and re-create to ISO image on flash drive.
This will also depend on your creator for ISO flask drive.
