So I ran an sfc scannow and it determined four files could not verify components, I attached my sfcdetails.txt and I hope you guys can help me to determine what files I need to replace, where I can find them, and how I can do that. I'm pretty new to this. :o

Sometimes running sfc /scannow 3 times, one immediately after the other, will be able to repair the corrupt files. Try that, and then report back what happened.

What was reported in the Windows, when they completed?

So here's the process of events as they unfolded, I turned my computer on this morning, it was attempting to start up, but would stall out and restart just before getting to the login screen (No BSOD as far as I saw), it continued to do this until I had to manually shut it off. I then started it again to attempt Last Known Good Configuration startup. This got it to allow me to login to windows, I logged in and it won't connect to the internet anymore, it said Diagnostic Policy Services is not running. I looked up ways to get that to run, went into the services.msc and edited the registry exactly as suggested to fix that error, restarted the computer and the computer connected to the internet but I still could not connect to anything that requires internet (and since then it hasn't connected to the internet which is hooked up via Ethernet). After this, I created a system repair disc with a USB drive from my laptop that I used to attempt System Restore options which ended up with System Restore failing to complete, and Startup Repair not finding any issus or not fixing any issues (Can't remember exactly)

Oops, maybe I didn't answer your question. What information are you looking for exactly?

I've uploaded afile - jl5aa.zip - to my OneDrive at Noel's OneDrive

Please downloadand save it.
Right-click onthe downloaded file, and select Extract all…

Extract to thedefault location - which will create a new folder jl5aa in the same place.
Open this folder- there should be two folders inside it (Manifests, and Packages)

Copy the content of the manifestsfolder (.manifest files) into this folder:

C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\Winsxs\Manifests

Nowrun the CheckSUR tool again (it may take a while)

Postthe new CheckSUR.log file, and the CheckSUR.persist.log file.

Ok so I dont know if this is hampering the CheckSUR tool or not but since this issue began, the computer that is having issues no longer connects to the internet. (Diagnostic Policy Service is not starting) I mentioned that earlier on when I spoke with Golden though. When I run the CheckSUR tool I think it's downloadng the same update each time but I havent taken the time to write down the exact number of the Windows Update each time (if you want me too I will). Ill update my post in a little while with new CBS log and CheckSUR.
