Need help finding drivers for Lenovo Yoga 710-14IKB (Win7)

I have a Lenovo Yoga 710-14IKB and i really do enjoy using it. The touchscreen is the real sell for it. But i decided to install Windows 7 on it, cause hardware manufacturers still see to support it around the board. After dealing with the whole USB 3 issue i finally got Windows 7 installed. But nothing seems to work out of the box (wich should be expected). The Lenovo website only lists drivers for Windows 10 but they dont seem to complain when install on Windows 7. But the thing is it seems none of the drivers seem to recognize the hardwware. The all run through their installations fine, but at the end their status is something along the lines of "Device not present". It seems theres a disconnect between the software and the hardware. Not even the Intel USB 3 drivers make the usb ports work. The only thing that installed and worked after the driver was the sd card reader. This happens from both the Lenovo website drivers and ones that i found straight from intel.

suggest you try this for starters:

Intel® Driver Update Utility

hopefully it will install some drivers, probably not everything though. After running it and rebooting, try posting a screen shot of your device manager

I dont have an nternet connection

There is no internet connection due to lack of WLAN drivers. I can put the utility on the computer through the SD but it wont be able to download any drivers

Thanks for the wireless driver, that worked perfectly. But now when i run the Intel update utility all it finds is the Intel Graphics, wich is fair enough. I click install and it downloads it, but when it tries to install it says my computer does not meet the requirements, even though it does because it had to detect that hardware in the first place for it to download it. And the Windows 7 isnt the problem because it doesn detect that thats what im running before looking for the driver

if you have an i5-7200U cpu in your machine, that's a Kaby Lake processor which is not supported on windows 7, which I assume is why you got that message earlier. I get the same message on my i7-7700k. Fortunately the machine will run fine once you get the right drivers, but you're going to get the same message when you try to run windows update. I'm in the same boat, but wsus offline update works fine.

I wouldn't try to install Windows 7 with a Kaby Lake processor as it may give you stability issues.

The reason why Lenovo doesn't have drivers for Windows 7 is because the model of the laptop that you have obviously does not support Windows 7.

It's a 50/50 chance of the drivers to work properly with your laptop because you're not using drivers that came from the Manufacturer.

Ok, with that driver utility everything worked perfectly. And as for the incpompatibility with windows 7 on kabylake. I couldn't find less of a crap. MS is trying to bully people into Windows 10. I prefer Windows 7's UI and there's no actual technical reason why Win7 won't run on those processors. All the drivers expect for the touchscreen have been intelled and work flawlessly.Win7 is lightening fast on this laptop and it's a pleasure to use.
