Well I haven't changed anything about my computer in about a month, but today my CPU and ram are being strained a lot more than they have before. I checked processes and nothings new. XFire, Sidebar... all the same, no major resources. My CPU Usage is usually about 3% and ram at about 20%. today my CPU is 30-40% and my ram up to 50%! its never been that high with windows 7. I'm running Norton antivirus 2010 and its the same one Ive had during my entire time with win 7. I do not have any programs running in the taskbar, its like its just idling high. my specs are listed but here:

Quad core processor
8 GB ram
Norton AV 2010
Win 7 Ult x64

have the processes list cover the whole window and click on "average cpu" to see which process is using the most cycles.

cool. I knew you'd figure it out when you put the processes in the proper order.
