The upgrade from Vista to Win7 has gone smoothly with one exception:
I have not been able to recover my email files in Windows Live Mail, even though the contact list transferred smoothly, as did the inbox contents.

Can someone tell me how to recover the email files?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, MYZR7, however, the instructions appear to be written for a "pre-upgrade" situation, since it requires the use of Vista desktop, etc.

I've already performed the upgrade so I need instructions that cover email file recovery after-the-fact.

I've spent a lot of time trying to find a forum that would cover this but have not succeeded as yet.

Still need help with this, please.

Just skip steps 1 and 2 and when you import the mail, import it from your backup instead.

You can search your computer for Windows Live Mail as that is the folder mail is stored.

All of my systems still run fastest on XP 32-bit for the most part. Win7 is fun to play with, but I still prefer XP for raw speed, security, and functionality.
