Hi, I'm having a terrible time trying to restore using Acronis 2010 or even with latest 2013 version.

I'm running three OS's: Win7 x64, Vista x64 and FreeBSD.

I originally backed up my Win7 x64 and Vista x64 partitions with Acronis 2010 last year. I need to restore at least my Win7 partition but Acronis won't let me do it. When I boot from the Acronis cd it doesn't see my C: drive.

I was able to convert the .tib file to a .vhd file and try to do a system image restore booting from the Win7 install dvd but it doesn't recongnize the .vhd file.

I have been able to restore from these acronis backups in the past so I'm lost, can someone help please? Thanks.

I seem to have answered my own question. Acronis didn't like the way the hard disk was formatted. It gave a fleeting message something about not liking 'EZ' or dynamic disks. So I reformatted and the Win7 restore came out fine, the Vista partition however logs in with the 'temporary profile' thing.
