I have an HP Pavilion dv7 that I logon to using the fingerprint reader. However, I have other accounts that do not have enrolled fingerprints, and use their username and password to login. Right now it's only giving the option to scan the fingerprint (to login as me). How do I get it to show the screen where others can login?

Thank you for those tips. But they address a different issue. And that's probably my fault for not being clear about what the situation is.

I have multiple user accounts on the laptop. Only one of them, mine, uses the fingerprint reader to login.

I want one of the other users of the laptop to be able to login, but using their username and password, since they don't have an enrolled fingerprint.

All that displays at boot up is the fingerprint icon, and the instructionst to scan an enrolled finger over the fingerprint reader.

Sorry for any misunderstanding that I have created.

The instructions above will allow you to click on another username to log in. Does that not solve your problem of not being able to log in as another user?

Many thanks. I will try it out. I just seem to remember it being simpler, but that may have been when unlocking, rather than logging in.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
