Need to move outlook to Win 7 from Vista

I have been using Outlook 2007 installed on Vista 64Bit OS.

I recently added another HDD and Win 7 64 bit OS. I would like to move all my outlook files to the new HDD.

Sure could use a link, or information on how to do this.

There is no Outlook in Windows7.

Erm....oh yes there is! Obviously not built-in, but as part of the Office suite of programs, and it runs a treat under Windows 7.

As for moving stuff from Vista to 7, one way would be to locate and copy the .pst file(s). You can do this by:

1. In Outlook 2007 in Vista, go File > Date File Management... > Data Files tab
2. Highlight the account you want to move
3. Hit Settings...
4. In the Filename box, there will be something like C:\(your name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Filename.pst
5. Copy all of that up to Outlook\ (don't include Filename.pst), and paste it into the Run box under the Start Orb, then hit Enter
6. This will open the folder containing your pst file. Copy it onto a memory stick or similar.
7. Repeat for any other Outlook accounts.

Once you have Outlook 2007 sorted under Windows 7, you can paste the pst files into this location:

C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

- again, reachable by pasting the address into the Run box and hitting Enter.

Finally, go to File > Open > Outlook Data File... and select the pst file you have just transferred. That should populate your calendar, contacts etc etc with all your data.

One of the many true experts on this forum might know a better way, but this has worked for me
