Need to remove Vista and have Windows 7 installed

Hello,

I have Vista and Windows 7 installed and I'm trying to remove Vista so that I can just have Windows 7 on the machine. Here's a screen shot of my current Disk Management. Can someone please provide some assistance...very basic since it has been YEARS since I've had to do this myself. Thanks!

But depending on if you have a disk with win-7 on it the process might differ a bit,
How did you get win-7 a upgrade disk or oem or retail disk ?

It is a retail disk, but it looks like it's an 'Upgrade' version. Not sure if this makes a difference?
That link is great, but I'm afraid that I will mess up this computer since there's 2 partitions.

Yes you will need to merge the two partitions and format, #8's process on the first tutorial,

Then boot to the win-7 disk,
I'm actually inquiring about a similar issue with only 13 gig's in front of C instead of you having vista on it as for the exact process.

Assuming your C has Vista and your D has win-7,
If you notice my space in front of C is Unallocated,

Open an elevated cmd and type:

bcdboot c:\windows /s c:

diskpart

sel vol c

act

exi.

Close cmd prompt, then reboot. You can then delete D and extend C using diskmgmt.

(If you have stuff on D you want to keep, then shrink d and create another partition. Copy what you want from d onto the newly created partition, before deleting d.)

The commands SIW2 gave should move the System flag to Win7 partition. Then you can delete Vista.

Elevated Command Prompt
Partition or Volume - Delete
Partition or Volume - Extend

Let us know how it goes. There are other methods.
