Hi,
1. How Audio device is named in the Device Manager ?
2. Did the driver installed a configuration utility ?
3. Instead of going inside WIN32 folder. Just try running 'Setup.exe' from the extracted driver folder.

Yes, it installed a configuration utility.


Running setup.exe automatically goes to WIN32 folder if it detects x86 system.

1. How far you got with stereo mixing ? What is the exact problem you are facing ? Did you google the matter ? They talk about different settings, causes & even installing latest Codecs, etc.
2. They also talk about driver. As we have already got the official driver for ''Realtek HD Audio'', the only other driver that can cause a problem is Intel Chipset. There is one driver listed on product support page that seems to be friendly with win 7 x32. Try to install the driver & then uninstall & reinstall the Audio driver.

I think it's not related to a faulty driver & you should post the matter in proper sub forum.

I haven't gone through this whole thread to see everything you guys have done but I wonder if this will help-

Hey guys, upgraded to 64-bit now thanks to PCMover so finding drivers should be less annoying now.


I want to thank everyone for helping me hunt down those pesky x86 drivers and actually being useful instead of spamming me with "just upgrade to 64-bit already! what are you waiting for!" that I'd get everywhere else.


I hope this thread proves that if I'm given the space to upgrade on my own terms once I've figured everything out, then everything eventually works out. Nothing is more condescending than getting bitched at and assuming I'm some kind of moron who has no reason for what he's doing.


I am quite stubborn and anally retentive, I admit that much. But as Vineet Garg and others have proven, civility goes a long way.

wither 2, that thread suggested using a virtual cable which is an option I guess if all else fails, I should probably start a new thread in the audio subforum anyhow.

Happy New Year to you too. My bad, I confused your link with someone elses. Yeah, that PDF shows only how to display Stereo Mix device. I know about that. It is enabled but no sound is passing thru it.


I also bumped this thread because I got my NVIDIA GPU so I was able to test the same HDMI cable. No banding issues this time. It seems neither the cable or my monitor was the problem after all but the onboard GPU/driver.

My friend , never shut the doors for solutions/possibilities. I know you can do it all!

1.The Graphic & Chipset driver listed on your product support site has full support for win7 64. Install chipset driver with -overall command switch.
SetupChipset.exe -overall
Then install Graphic driver by executing 'Setup.exe'
( You mentioned PCMover did it for you otherwise, i would advise to download all the drivers from official support page. Then extract the drivers & check/read each of the .inf files for win7 64 & hardware devices' support. May be you don't need any 3rd party driver! )

2. Extracting drivers, etc. Drivers laptop Killer Wireless-AC 1550 & USB 3 - Windows 7 64Bit Helps

3. What is PCMover ? Is it a free utility ? How is it ? Somebody else can be helped with the utility.

It's okay, I already installed the NVIDIA GPU so there's no use for the onboard one anymore. I don't feel like unplugging and switching settings again. The ventilation bars also block the other pci ports so I had to get a riser.



PCMover migrates all installed programs, settings, documents etc. from one Windows OS to another. When Microsoft cancelled Windows Easy Transfer, authors of PCMover partnered up with them to maintain the product.
This was to in-place upgrade my 32-bit Windows 7 to 64-bit, the closest equivalent to doing such thing anyway. This way I didn't have to reinstall all my programs. The process wasn't perfect and I had to reinstall a few anyway but it's better than the alternative. It's not free but I got a discount.


Thanks for suggesting Snappy Driver and other tools, I shall look back at this thread when I need them.


Also, another update: I figured out the stereo mix problem. It works when I plug my headphones into the back audio ports but not on the front panel ones. I have no idea why but this is what's happening.
