Hi,
I got a Samsung N310 Netbook (NCIX.com - Buy Samsung N310L Atom N270 1Gb 250GB 10.1IN WSVGA Webcam 3G Hpsa Windows 7 Starter Netbook Blue - NP-N310-HAB1CA In Canada.) a couple of months ago.
With the exception of one instance, all BSODs have occurred while watching a flash video. It would happen sometimes within minutes of playing a video, and other times, it would happen after 30 minutes or an an hour or so.
The RAM's fine. Ran Memtest through full one pass. All drivers are up to date. It doesn't happen when watching other videos ie. Veetle.com, DiVX, offline videos etc
When watching flash videos, CPU usage shoots all the way up, while Veetle and other videos don't use that much CPU. I have feeling it's not related to flash per say, but rather related to instability while high-resource tasking.
BSOD message is this:
*** Harware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***
Windows doesn't restart on its own after BSOD, and doesn't leave a memory dump.
I think maybe just upgrading to 2GB of RAM will fix the problem, but lack of RAM shouldn't produce a BSOD, right?
Thank you for your help.
EDIT: sorry, forgot to add the report zip file. Added.
