Netgear router, some computers stuck in "acquiring network address"

because i need a router with an ON OFF button, and the netgear one has two, one for turning on and off the wifi ONLY and the other for the router itselft, for me is not redundant because I need it that way, because i need to turn it on and off WITH OUT a computer and apart from the wired lan where there are computers connected all day and should be interrupted, that's why i need to ability to turn on and off wifi separately form LAN and without a computer.

google also shows many users having the same issue (stuck on "acquiring network address")

That is strange problem because the reviews at Newegg looked very good for this Netgear router with only a few saying they have connection problems.

It could be interference from a wireless phone which work on the same 2.4Ghz frequency, one guy said it worked much better with the router laying flat as opposed to vertical so maybe a different position will work better.

I know, it is a great router (for its price its excellent)

i have things to do now, ill try with the cordlessphone off within few hours, i dont think thats the cause, because if i turn off and on the laptop 2 (where the problem is) then it reconnect itselft without problem.
, even if i log out and in to windows then it reconnects itselft without problem.

anyway ill try different possition and with cordlessphone off and let you know

Try replacing the cable from router to PC. If you don't have a spare reverse the cable.

from router to PC?

but the wired pc is ok, or are you asking to do that because it could affect wireless connection?
Sorry kharl, my brain was sleeping. Ignore it.
You don't need an on /off switch, just unplug it.
