Can anybody please give me some simple advice as to what I would need to set up the following.

1x PC (Mine, and i'd like to the be the admin Win 7 Ultimate X64) with internet access via the router and connected to a NAS

2x PC's Win 7 32bit with internet access via the router and connected to a NAS
1x NAS to be shared by all 3 PC's

1x NAS

1x 4 port router

In simple terms the 2x Win 7 32bit PC's are for my children hence why I would like admin control of the computers. They will need a connection to the internet and share the same NAS.
The Win 7 Ult X64 computer will also be connected to the NAS as well as the router for internet access.

All PC's and NAS to be connected with cable as opposed to wireless.

Any advice on whether this would be easy to set up?

What cable would I need between the NAS and the PC's?

Any help greatfully received.

It wouldn't be difficult to do and setup. You will need a router (wireless for future wireless devices) and a 4 port switch for the extra PC's and NAS devices, if your NAS devices have built in ethernet ports. Other wise the NAS devices connect via USB cable, then you just share them on the network. Just google what type of NAS devices you want and check the specs out and same for the the router(s). I prefer Linksys products but it's all just personal preference.

Many thanks for your reply.

My router already has 4 ports. And the NAS I am contemplating buying takes 2x Sata drives and connects via Ethernet.

From your reply I take it, it is at least possible so that's a start.
