My message: Windows did not detect a properly installed Network Adapter.

My issue: had an electrical storm, all items on a power strip and they all work. All wifi electronics work, I am on comcast internet and they found this issue with the adapter. I am using a windows 7 -64 bit desktop. Problem is, I cannot connect on the desktop to the internet.

I have unplugged all items from it. I shutdown and did some kind of bleed power thing I read from another thread. I have uninstalled the wireless printer that was connected and reinstalled it. I have put in all the recovery disks from my Acer and nothing showed network adapter.

My network adapter is missing to the list in the Device Manager.

What do I do to get this fixed? Any ideas?

I also remember when I first turned on the desk opt after the storm, the printer had been on prior to the storm and when it came back on the wifi was flashing.

I also remember when talking to comcast I had to get my laptop and try the DSL cable from the modem to the laptop. All was working. So I guess it's my desktop or printer. Now I am clueless. Please help.
