Solved Network adapter properties

I could really use some help. I have figured out what is causing my issue and will explain the best I can.

Relatively new network with wired desktop and wireless laptop through Netgear router.

I narrowed the issue down to Power Management of the Wireless Network Adapter.

If the Wireless Network Adapter is set to its default properties including Power Management-->Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, when I fire up the laptop it connects right away but the problem is the Network Map is not correct, the laptop doesn't show it's information including IPv4. If I manually uncheck and recheck the TCP/IPv4 box under Networking the network disconnects and reconnects and the map is good with the laptop showing its IPv4 address. But if it goes back to sleep the next time it wakes up and connects the map will be wrong.

So if I disable Power Management-->Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power, the network map appears correct and the laptop shows it's IPv4 info, problem is, and it's a big one, it takes one to two minutes to connect to the router.

So either I live with the wrong Network Map (everything still is networked as I am using Homegroup) or I live with a delayed connection to my wireless but the Network Map is correct.

This is a new laptop and I already reinstalled the Wireless Adapter, there are no updates to the drivers.

I'm tempted to to do something related to TCP/IP. Perhaps reset it to default since there does seem to be some relationship to the IPv4 setting. But I just don't know what to do at this point.

I'd really appreciate any help.

Turn off that option to allow it to turn off the WiFi. If the system goes to sleep the WiFi will be turned off with it. If you are using the system you certainly don't want the WiFi to be turned off.

Nothing else is connected wirelessly.

If I turn off the power saving feature to the laptops Wireless Adapter then it takes 60-90 seconds to connect to the wireless network.

Which makes absolutely no sense. If anything it should be the opposite.

Does anyone think my wireless card is bad? Maybe I should just return the computer.
