I have a Realtek network card on my HP desktop running Windows 7 and every time I start up the computer or restart it, the driver doesn't work for the network card. I have to go into device manager and disable the driver and then enable it and then it starts working.

How can I fix this?

Thanks. Two more questions: Are you running Windows 7 32-bit, or 64-bit? And is your Realtek NIC an upgrade or factory?

This should be the driver you need: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC HP Pavilion dv7-1035em Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English) (nevermind the dv7 part for now - your desktop's page doesn't even have 64-bit drivers)

But if that doesn't work, you may want to post in this thread where it seems others have been having issues with the same NIC in Win7 x64: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/811C(P) 64-bit Windows 7 Drivers in Windows Update do NOT work

Let me know how that works.
