I'm currently using windows 8.1 Pro, and the problem has gotten worse lately, so every minute or so, the internet stops working and when I diagnose the network it just keeps giving me "the default gateway is not available" error, and fixed, then another minute or so it happens again.

Have you checked Control Panel, Internet Options, Connections tab, LAN Settings for a checkmark in the Automatically detect item at the top of the list and nothing else checked? Or does your ISP require different entries on that panel?
