View attachment 137445I just bought a brand new ASUS and have already gotten the blue screen.

The computer specs are as follows:
Windows 7 64bit
Model ASUS CG5275 Desktop
Intel Core i5 CPU 650 @ 3.2 GHz
8 GB RAM DDR3

I have installed Norton 360 and Office 2010 to the computer and that is it. I did notice that I will get a bluescreen most of the time i run a full system scan through norton although I have gotten them without running a scan. I have also tryed to update all of my hardware although im still unsure if it is the latest.

I would like to be able to solve this problem and not pack up this computer and send it back although that day may be coming soon. I have attached the files requested in the (BSOD) posting instructions and have also included my minidump log of the errors that my computer provides to me as it restarts.

Please help me,

Thanks for your time.

Alex

Completely Uninstall Norton 360 using the removal tool

Then reinstall the latest version

Update your Realtek driver
Realtek

Code:
RtNdPt60.sys fffff880`02326000 fffff880`02332000 0x0000c000 0x475dfad0 [B][COLOR=Red]11/12/2007[/COLOR][/B] 06:49:52
Remove Asus AI booster/Manager(or any other similar tools), it uses an outdated driver
Code:

Perfect! Thanks a ton, is there a way to always make sure I have the latest driver updates? I was just going to the drivers on the computer and asking them to search for the latest update - when they said windows though that this was the latest one - i moved on.

Drivers are manually updated, only update those which are dated earlier than July 2009

System tools and AVs drivers should be updated more frequently

have you been using this to OC the machine..???

To be completely honest I am not sure, I have only had the computer a few days and have not done much with it. How would i know?

well if you haven't used it i cant see it OCing the machine of its own accord...... but i'd 100% get rid of it, Asus AI caused me nothing but heartache.

& OCing a machine through windows is sought with issues anyway.

AV ..... Avira / Avast, IMO :)

Continue to use it as usual, but if it causes more issues you should use another AV.
All AVs can cause problems btw

the AV apps i listed have a very small footprint, these wont weave their way into every app you have installed!! ;)

I would recommend removing Norton and replacing it with Microsoft Security Essentials. MSE has a smaller footprint BSOD's much less frequently and is free.
