New Build..Need Input(2)

Ok guys/gals I hope this will be my final post/thread on this...I've gone back and forth trying to find what will work and whats best for me(you know this if you've read my last threads) So once again this build is to be a do everything powerhouse(IMO) from gaming,editing pics&video,Vbox's...ect.

Please ignore the prices as I know I can find some parts cheaper at other places,they were there for ballpark est. Also I know that an SSD would set this build off and it will just not now....lol$$$

If this were me, I would;;

1). Seriously consider whether you want a full tower case. These things take up tons of room and are usually never really utilized internally. You could cut $50 by considering something like the Corsair 600T..which is a mid tower design that offers pretty much all of the features of the full tower case without taking up all of the room.

2). You won't really need a 1,000watt power supply for the build you are considering. A 750w-850w would handle that load no problem and you might then be able to shave off a few more bucks. Stick with the modular design though..it will really allow much nicer cable management

3). is wireless really necessary? If you have the ability to connect via a network cable, this would be more more reliable. I only run wireless for convenience. Whenever possible, I hardwire my equipment.

4). Any reason you are doing 8GB of RAM in dual channel. I would consider instead doing 6GB of RAM in triple channel.

I know you are saying, why are you trying to save cash...I want an ultimate build. Well, take the money you save and buy yourself an SSD for your OS and most used apps. That will really make a difference.

I'd be very careful on RAM choice. Everything I read says Sandy Bridge boards much prefer RAM specced at 1.5 volts. I've heard good things about Corsair XMS series on Sandy Bridge, but don't know if the RAM you have chosen is in the XMS series?

Apparently, the 32 nm process is quite sensitive to voltages.

And I certainly don't know that the UD7 motherboard is superior for your purposes than cheaper Gigabyte models with the same P67 chipset.

I'd wait a few days and do more research unless it isn't particularly important to save $100 or more.

Generally, I'd lean against Coolermaster PSUs and go toward Corsair or Seasonic, but the CM may be fine.

You could be right there. It's hard keeping up with all of these different chipsets. I'll be honest, I haven't looked at that chipset and such yet...so my advice with regards to triple channel may have been off base.

personally, i use a corsair myself. Been very happy with it.

1)Yes, I do want full tower for now and to add to the build later...The HAF X is a big one but if you check the specs there is not much different between it(HAFX) and the 600T....

HAF X: 23.20" x 9.10" x 21.70"
600T:23.30" x 10.40" x 20.00"

2)As for the PSU if I combo the HAF X and the Cooler Master 1000w I get $40.00 discount..which is what I would save going down to an 800w/850w modular and the 1000w leaves room for upgrades later..

3)I would also rather hardwire but wireless is needed where I am right now. Its a small price to pay for now.

4)As for the 8 gig RAM well Sandy Bridge 1155/p67 does not support triple channel
