Hi

I recently bought a new motherboard, graphic card and CPU for my computer. Since installing the new parts I've been getting bluescreen, and blackscreen, while ingame (Counter Strike Global:offensive).

I've uploaded the BSOD information, and hopefully someone will be able to tell me what is causing both the blue and blackscreen.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Chris

Hello and welcome Chris mate there are a host of dump files related to the ntoskrnl.exe and that can be down to a lot of things but the most definite thing I can find is the fault with the NVidia driver it might be an idea to reinstall that driver for your card which one it is I cannot make out because I don't know the exact model of your card http://www.geforce.com/drivers < it is listed here but no definite driver??
Plus there is a second card in place?? as you have listed a Radeon card there too?? Could you please clarify what you actually have installed because I would imagine having two different brands of card installed would be not helpful to say the least.
Also can you let us know if you replaced the RAM and with what if you did - is it the sticks you have listed?? .

So the more I look at it the little more confused with your set up I get

Hi ICIT2LOL

Thank you very much for the swift reply.

I'll try to explain as best I can. Since all the new hardware were installed I have tried a number of different changes. Unfortunately, the result of this is that it is hard for me to tell you which bluescreen appeared on which hardware. Let me try and sum this up for you:

The Radeon 5750 is my old graphic card, and the GTX960 is my new card.
I did not reorder my RAM, so when I got my new parts I had in total 4 (12gb, 2x2 4x2). They were all installed on my old computer and working fine, and they all passed memtest86 with my new hardware. I picked up, with help from others, that there may be something wrong with the RAM( despite of the memtest), so I tried yanking out two of them. I currently only run Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 8GB CL9 in slot 2 and 4 on my motherboard. Please note that initially these were installed in slot 1 and 3 up until minutes after I created this post. I noticed that they had to be installed in slot 2 and 4, so I have not had the time to test to see if this was causing all the blue and blackscreens.

Now, the graphic card. These bluescreens occured when my 960 card were installed. A couple of hours before I created this post I tried replacing the 960 card with my 5750 card. Therefore, the bluescreens attached to the post did occur whenever I had my 960 card installed. After I started using my 5750 card I have not had any bluescreen ingame. I did however get one bluescreen with the 5750 card, and that happened the minute I got into windows, after I had been in SafeMode to delete all drivers to my 960 card before yanking it out.

I would like to clarify that after I switched to my 5750 card I've only experienced blackscreens after 1hour+ ingame, and not bluescreens. I have not had a chance to see the temperature while gaming, but I am currently working on that. I'll get back to you with the results of that.

I am not sure if the blackscreens are connected with the bluescreens, but I assume so. I find it strange that I am not experincing bluescreen with the 5750 card, but only blackscreens. Even worse is that since it is a blackscreen I am not sure where to look to find some sort of stop code or something that could pinpoint me the correct way to proceed. I was hoping that perhaps some of you could assist me on that.

I do understand that this is chaotic, and that you are getting confused. Since I've been struggling with this for weeks it is hard to remember all the changes that were made, and most importantly at which time they were done..

I would also like to inform you that yesterday, after switching back to the 5750 card I tried and OCCT stresstest on my CPU. After about 14 minutes I got an error, and a folder opened up with different readings from the test. I am not sure what they mean, so I am attaching the result of the test as a .rar file. Perhaps you are able to find something wrong :)

Thank you very much for your support, and if you need anything further clarified I'll try my best!

Chris mate I ma having no luck trying to open that RAR link can you send it as per the first load of dumps you sent. One or two things seems clear well fairy clear - that the graphics is really chewing away at the CPU usage and that swapping out the cards has brought different results.

Just out of interest what are the temps doing on that machine please run this https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download and post back what they are if it crashed then the temps can be found in the BIOS.

Thanks Derek usually the 7-zip does the trick and I hadn't thought of themas graphics..

Chris I really don't know what I am looking in the pics for to be honest thespikes are relatively equal to each other in those shots and it would take sometime to correlate those to the volts etc.

For now it will be good to see what the temps are doing. Just as a by the byyou would have an old card you know to be good to slip into that machine totry to see if the crashes still go on.

Also I happened to notice Windows 8 as the OS is this a fact or have you installed 7 instead of that OS? Now I am not trying to fob you off but if you are running 8 then it might be better to drop a thread in that forum - same folks just different OS Just sign up as you did for here
