First up, help me to help you by filling out the system specs with everything you're using in your current rig.

It could be any number or combination of things that's causing the issue: could be the PCIe connectors, insufficient power, a connector missing, etc.

I took my system to the shop to have it tested and there wasn't any screen flickering with their monitor. Hence, they didn't replace it. But, when I came back to my place, I still see a bit of flickering in COD4 MP game but no more during boot up.

My monitor(View sonic 17 Inch LCD) works fine with my old gpu(Nvidia GT 220) but not with this new GPU.

I'm just having all issues since I purchased this new GPU. Really dishearted.

Turn Vsync on the game graphic options, and force it with the GPU's control center.

Turn Vsync on the game graphic options, and force it with the GPU's control center.

After a lot of playing around, on this seemed to work.

But still the question is, why screen flickers when vsync is off?

My monitor isn't that good?

It could be the card is over-driving the display. Vsync-on will limit refresh rates to the speed of the display. With Vsync-off, there's no limit to frame rates but the display may no be able to handle it; Hence the flicker.

64-bit Windows will allow you to have more memory which helps everything and does speed some processes up. Windows won't have to page some processes out to disk as frequently. You do meet the "minimum" requirements but more memory always helps. Review the specifications of your system to be sure you can add more memory and make sure it's the same type/model installed already.

Also, your link is for a video card that doesn't match your specs. So providing more info with accuracy will help.

I had this issue on a dell monitor for a customer a few weeks ago and I solved it by going into the monitors menu and reseting it to default
