Hi, I'm in the process of finding parts for my first gaming computer that I am building. I want it to run as smooth as possible and give good performance, also it needs wireless internet. Here it is:
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 932
MOTHERBOARD opt2: Asus M4A79T-DELUXE MB AMD AM3 DDR3
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 Ghz Black Edition
GPU: 2X Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 (In 16/16 Crossfire)
RAM: Corsair 8GB (4X2GB) 1333 DDR3
HDD: Western Digital 500GB
PSU: Corsair TX-750 W
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper Z600 with 2X Cooler Master 120mm Silent Red LED Fan

I am pretty sure the crossfire bridges on the 5870's will reach each other, if not please tell me lol.:D

My question is, will the two GPU's fit on the motherboard with a wireless adapter as well? Also, do you think the CPU cooler will fit with the RAM?
Also, same question but with the Gigabyte GA-790XT in case if i run out of cash ^^.
I have never built a computer before so all help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers :).

By the looks of it all of that will work through compatibility, however With the AMD Cpu i am uncertain as i only use Intel...

So i would ask in the AMD section of the site as im sure they could tell you, and the cooler might fit though it is a bit on the big side.

Other then that it will all fit...

Sorry dude

The Gigabyte board may fit the wireless card a little better seeing as there is more than 1 slot of space between the x16 PCI-E slots and more than 1 slot between the second PCI-E slot and the last PCI slot. The Asus board may be a tight fit if you're set on using a PCI wireless card. I mention this because the 5870 is a dual-slot card, it uses one PCI-E slot for each card but blocks the adjacent slot with the cooler.

Another thing to keep in mind is how much memory do you REALLY need. If this is JUST for gaming, 8 GB may be overkill. I have 4 GB in my gaming system and barely use 1/2 of it when playing MW2 (I just installed Crysis last night but haven't played yet), so that may be a place to save some cash. I have a laptop for most daily tasks. Make SURE that memory is on the QVL for your MB. I'm using OCZ Black Edition memory with my Phen. II x4 955, it's working GREAT compared to the OCZ Gold that Newegg paired with it.
