New To Chrome - Question About Blocking Redirects/Pop Ups

Greetings,

So I am new to Google Chrome after using IE11 forever and while I have noticed there is a redirect/pop up blocker in settings that is enabled, it doesn't seem to be working for some pop-ups/redirects that IE11 used to block with their simple Turn On Pop Up Blocker that you would check.

Is this simply the case of it not working 100% with all sites or is there something else I have to tweak in settings, etc.

I don't really want to use IE11 anymore, but if that much older program does a better job of blocking than Chrome does, I guess I will have to switch between browsers for certain sites.

I would appreciate any help/assistance since I am a newbie to Chrome.

Thanks,

HM

Hi Hey Man,
I don't use Chrome, however there are a number of add ons that address these issues
About redirect options
About pop-up options
I use Firefox Quantum. Many Add-ons, About:config tweaks.

It is always a game of cat and mouse with advertisers, popups, add-ons to prevent them. Browser security features always changing, evolving.
