Hi Swarfega. I have a Tuniq Tower 120. I'm thinking about an upgrade to 1156 or 1366 but Tuniq don't seem to make the necessary brackets.
Their new version fits but they seem to have forgotten about those of us who have already invested in the 120.
Bit crap in my opinion.

I agree with you, they need to make new style brackets available for the new sockets; though I'm buying the new Tuniq for the i7 system I'm putting together as I don't intend to disable my current machine.

If you're looking for 1366, you might check this baby out. Got extremely good reviews and blew all the competition out of the water.

Thanks for that Zen and BFK. The Megahalims certainly gets great reviews but the new Tuniq Tower looks amazing and also gets a good review.
I'm intending getting one of Overclockers.co.uk's i7 bundles so maybe they'd swap the Noctua in the bundle:

Question is, which one? The Tuniq looks great but I can't find a direct comparison with the Megahalims, although I suspect the Megahalims would win.
But the Tuniq comes cheaper as it contains a fan and is cheaper to begin with.
Also I can't be in Swarf's club if I don't have a Tuniq!
Has anyone seen a comparison test yet?

Do these fit in "normal" 8 inch cases? I would like one but I can never figure out how much room I need. My little Coolermaster TX3 only leaves about an inch.

What width is your case? Measure from the motherboard to the side panel.

I will measure that and see what I get. So the height in MM is from where it connects to the top.....okay. I will do it. Maybe I will join the club.

Are these really better than a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 or the Thermalright Ultra-120 or are they about the same?

When I added the Tuniq to my current machine the temps dropped 20c across the board.

I'm probably going to order my Overclockers bundle tomorrow (see earlier post).
So. I need to decide which HSF to go for, assuming they will negotiate a change which I imagine they will.
I could stick with the Noctua for quality and quietness but it does not seem as good at cooling an i7 at 4.0ghz as others.
Titan Fenrir gets good reviews but also seems to fall to bits quite often.
The Megahalems gets good reviews but does not include fans so would work out expensive.
The Tuniq Extreme is quite a bit cheaper than the Noctua and the Megalahalems and ,as I know, the build quality of this manufacturer is good.
I was thinking about a TRUE but once again paying for quality fans puts the price up.
I haven't checked the price on Shawn Brink's all copper TRUE but I imagine it's dear.

So what do you reckon guys?
I'm thinking it's a toss up between the Tuniq Tower and the Megahalems plus a Scythe Kaze Jyuni and the Tuniq comes out cheaper.

It's one of the best for sure. It's this or the Tuniq 120

Hello John, I'm partial to the Tuniq, whichever you get just make sure it comes with the bracket you'll need, as some of the others I've looked at don't include the newer brackets yet.
