Got a new computer a few days ago and it has wireless network card fitted in, so i could get internet onto it if moved the router and modem downstairs, which obviously has been done now. So we bought something called Dreambox in which we watch tv channels using an internet connection. It was my cousin who set this Dreambox up, he also moved the router and modem from my bedroom to downstairs near the Dreambox so we could stronger connections and watch tv programmes without lag. Atleast my internet speed is still strong with the router apart.

Now this is a little worry, my cousin can configure our Dreambox from his house and using his internet, not ours. I don't know how, but i think he has my router's details, such as IP address, submet mask, dns etc. So if he has all these, does that mean he can configure my router as well, does it also mean he can check what i do on internet if i use my router since he has my details?

Yes Yes, and Yes

You should at least take it off line change the password and enable some form of encryption. He can (if he is good) not only see you usage but send email as you, monitor your every key stroke including passwords (for banks, or whatever).

Not a good situation

If you cant use wired, changing everything while offline keeps him out from now on. You should also run a full antivirus scan..

And this is if your cousin is a nice guy, if not more security is necessary
