Newly assembled computer crashes every few minutes error 3D?

The computer crashes every few minutes. I think I've seen multiple BSOD messages, but the one in the current configuration appears to be 3D. When I say "current configuration, I mean that I've tried all sorts of combinations of parts and driver disabling and can't stop the crashing. Here's what I've tried:

New hard drive
remove promise technology card
remove intel pro 100 card
disable every driver in device manager I can disable.
Fresh install of Windows 7

Right now I've re-enabled most of the drivers, since disabling had no effect, but I haven't replaced the cards i removed. I may not put them back in, since they probably aren't needed.

I have two hard drives inside, attached to mobo with esata cables.

First of your bios is way old .... try updating this from the manufacturer site ... along with all other drivers .... they have update to them..... you can find it here

Second .... some of BSOD is caused by USBport.sys, one of them by explorer, few by filesystem error... So the best way to go from here is to first update all the driver... then update windows...

Thirdly you system has shutdown even at high temperature.... like at 99.85 deg C... Are you sure you put the thermal paste on the processor properly ?/?? or has the processor fan properly been locked to the motherboard....????

Wow, overheating is surprising. The fan looks firmly attached. There is a heatsink too. Many fans inside the unit and the side panel is off!

I've updated the bios and will now update all the drivers. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have installed all drivers I could find on the mobo website plus as many windows updates as I can. See attached. (Edited to add): Still crashing every few minutes.

Allright

1. Please disable VSS (Volume Shadow Service ) from Services.

2. I'm but confused here ...... Do you have Nvidia ethernet or Realtek ethernet ????

As per your motherboard Asus P5N-EM.... its a realtek driver that is available.....
So where is this Nvidia coming from ?????

3. Most of the BSOD are caused by your graphics card drivers paged pool errors .. Please update it from here. This is the latest version supported directly from Nvidia.

4. You have lots of windows update error.... Try the below
- Update the latest System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7
- Restart PC
- Run the windows update again.

1. It was set to "manual" but I selected "start" and then "stop" just to be sure.
2. I don't know what the confusion is about! There was an additional intel pro 100 card that I removed as part of the troubleshooting, but there is only one ethernet jack now on the mobo. I tried to run the realtek driver installation but the asussetup.exe program said there was no realtek driver installed. So I have no idea what's going on there.
3. Installed.
4. I had tried the readiness tool before but it failed. I have downloaded from your link and right now it is "searching for updates on this computer". I'll report back when it's done.

Point 2 ... I guess you didnt read what i said here.... the drivers you have installed for ethernet is from Nvidia... why ??? As per the mother model number Asus P5N-EM mentioned in system info it is a realtek ethernet thats provided....

Now which is right ???

Point 1: Sorry, it now reads "startup type" "disabled". However, I also tried to stop it and Windows displayed an error that the service couldn't be stopped. It now says "stopping" under "status".

Point 2: I read but didn't understand. I have no idea which is correct, nor how the system came to have the wrong drivers installed, even though it may well have been me who did it. What should I do?

4. Waiting for hotfix to finish installing and will restart.

now the reason why I am asking Point 2 is ..... it was part for BSOD stack crash.... so the only way to see if this has not caused the BSOD is to disable it.....

But wait till you finish the restart... and see if it crashes... if it does... then disable the network by going to device manager.. Check if it crashes... let me know how it goes.

Thanks, the hotfix has been in a state of "installing" for 20 minutes now with the "Installing" status bar completely empty. I'll hope it finally progresses and report back.

Update: Hotfix installed! Should I go ahead and apply more windows updates, just wait and let it run, or...?

Update: no crashing after 90 minutes or so. Going to install more Windows updates.

lol clicked the icon to shut down and install updates and got a BSOD.

Thanks youre awesome. It keeps crashing. just crashed again with bsod system exception error or something like it. was slow as molasses but suddenly faster after last crash.

Have you done memtest on for your RAM's before.... It looks like lot of memory corruption..... and I have a feeling one of your RAM stick are bad....

Please do this test for atleast 8 passes, one stick at a time
