No 7 Boot Animation on fresh install Win7 32bit

I have just installed (and reinstalled) Windows 7 Pro (32 bit) on my system, and get no boot animation... the number 7 morphing from the Windows logo.

Instead I get the text Starting Windows and a small red dot in the centre of the screen!

Windows does boot correctly and there seem to be no related issues, so I am not overly worried, though it is certainly odd!

Anyone else seen this?

What could be causing the problem?

Mobo: Il9 Pro
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 2GB

I am not sure about this one, but one time when I upgrade to seven from vista it just showed a black screen every time but still loaded.

Does it show the windows 7 logo when coming out of hibernation?

@Ampa it is better to clean install windows 7 when you upgrade it just running off of vista drivers still best thing to do is clean install 64 bit or 32 if you prefer but windows did the same for me when i first upgrade it took a long time to boot but did

once i went back clean installed after formatting the hdd i have had no problems with windows 7 loading and animation also it is recommeneded not to upgrade off vista you can but it will be more efficiant if you dont

also check your hdd for errors to assure you don't have bad sectors on the disk that is always a good option to assure peak performance

@Fastboy42 - Can't workout how to hibernate in Win7 at the moment! I can Sleep or Shutdown only?!?

@Solarstarshines - My install is a clean install on a new HDD which has been freshly formatted with no errors, so no chance of a bad upgrade or HD sectors I'm afraid.

well if thats not the case i was just reading some boards have trouble installing 7 due to memory try to clean install 64bit os with your 2 gb ram and see if there is a differnce on a 32 bit you only need a 1gb that might be whats holding you back as well some of these threads tell you many things of why the os is malfunctioning

I also suggest keep testing it you can always modify the boot type in MSCONFIG on the search bar it will give you selective boot options before you do another reinstall see if the (msconfig) feature will help

basicly with the msconfig you can select a speacial boot that will give it a boost sometimes when it is lagging like that it will make a little bump and speed and sometimes adjust the system to run properly

i understand you cant do 64 on a 32 but if you reformat the drive and install a fresh os 64 bit that is what im reffering too

depending on your devices and set up might be a reason why windows is slow booting

also you can put the windows 7 disc in while booted up and try to repairs that way

also you should be able to upgrade to 64bit os most cpu's and mb are incorperated for 64 bit technology just a little more time to redo everything but worth the work i also run a hd5770 so i dont think that would conflict anything if it actually boots up
