Toshiba Laptop with W-7
Owner uses only for email, etc.
Has no internet connection with IE, Firefox, Chrome in NORMAL mode.
Have a connection, ipconfig OK, can Ping sites.
Have a connection with all browsers in SAFE Mode.
(Disclaimer-am IT for my own small SOHO PC business, been a member here since 2009)
I use a program called d7II which is a System Repair Tool that can automate all my troubleshooting.

So far I have tried, not necessarily in this order:
System Restore not available
sfc /scannow
Cleaned with CCleaner
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Adwcleaner
JRT
Kaspersky TDDS
Hitman Pro
Combofix.

In addition I have done a complete Networking repair using "Windows Repair AIO" which checked
Hosts
Proxy settings
Apply DHCP to all Nics
Release and Renew
Reset network interfaces
Repaired Windows firewall

When none of this worked, I used Brink's Install/Repair which didn't work.

I'll take any suggestions. Please.

My last option is to create System Recovery Discs and bork the whole thing.

Pete

Thanks, Tookeri,
I think I did that but just did it again.
No good with all non-Microsoft services disabled.
I managed to make a set of System Recovery Discs but clean reinstall's my last option.
Could this be a MS start service causing this?

No idea unfortunately. But you could try to disable items in the Startup tab as well, and not just services.

What security software has been and are installed?
Does the browsers return an error message or what happens?
Have you tried with turning off the firewall?
When this problem started, were any new software installed prior to that? Last changes to computer before this happened

How about this.
After I cleared all MS services, Noticed a Norton 360 with a check.
Tried to remove it and no-go.
Double checked that I didn't have any Norton products installed and didn't.
Got the Norton/Symantec Removal Tool and ran it.
Hooray!!
Now able to access the internet with all browsers.
Thanks for steering me to the right place.

BTW, remember you from your great Tutorial on Virus Total with Process Explorer.
Excellent work.
