No Internet Access Mobile USB key. Ping OK.

Hi, any helpful and knowledgeable people out there?

I have a HUaiwei E372 USB stick using t-mobile Internet Connection Manager.
This works great! on one pc (WinXP with chrome and ie)..
But on the other one (W7 64bit) I have problems:
1) install software and drivers
2) it works, I get internet (ie, Chrome, ff)
3) restart pc
4) no internet, no matter what.
5) uninstall and reinstall
6) back to 2)

So what do I mean "No Internet"?
- can't access webpages in any browser (ff, chrome, ie)
- can ping nearly 100% success

What have I tried?
See attached script, basically FlushDNS, renew IPCONFIG, reset WINSOCK.

Ran W7 network diagnostics which indicated there was a problem with the DNS "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding"

So there it is. Anyone ?

I've now uninstalled the Internet Manager software completely (for the ~15th time) and want to take a snapshot of the relevant network settings

i) before installation
ii) after installation when it's working
iii) after installation and restart when its stopped working

What program should I run for this? what info am I interested in? Am tempted to look at DNS, but if anyone think's there's anything else to look at then I may as well look for that as well..

I reckon there's some program changing something on computer restart. Question is
a) what's changing?
b) what's doing the changing?
c) how to stop it doing the changing?

Extra info: have disabled windows firewall and uninstalled AVG antivirus but this seemed to have no effect either..

Hello,

Have you installed the latest Huawei E372 driver?
Huawei Modem Driver for Windows 7: Windows 7 Driver for all Huawei Modems

Please uninstall the old driver from Safe Mode, then install the latest driver. See if it makes a difference. Make sure to disable any AV or Security Software prior to uninstallation and re-installation of the new driver.

didn't work, in fact now I can't even pretend I'm connected. Oh dear.

If it works in XP and doesn't work in Windows 7 64bit, that is a driver issue.
Might be worth it to contact the Manufacturer's Support if you have not done it yet.
