Solved No response to post, no bumping allowed, anything left?

Six days ago I asked for help in the Network forum.
There have been 100 reads but no replies.

I know that bumping is not allowed.

I thought I was clear in the post and thing that have been tried.

Is the any other way to try to get someone to help?

Or since there have been no replies, am I stuck, out of luck?

Reposting is definitely not the way to go. If you had that many reads and no answers, it means no one has a guess or a solution. If there is any mossing information, you could post that in the thread, but aside from that, there isn't much else to do but keep searching online.

But probably not

Since I haven't been able to find a soloution on the web, I guess the only solution if I want my LAN to work is call MS and pay big bucks.

I actually read your thread and posted some suggestions. But, there was a lot of info, so I may not have been following along properly, and you may have already tried my suggestions.

I probably put too much information in the post and muddied the waters, but I was trying to let you know what I've tried--which may have made it too long to even read.

Maybe I need to start over and ask for step-by-step help in setting up a Win 7 to LAN network?
Maybe I missed something in all the tutorials I read.

At least, the W2K system connects with the Win7 system and both go through the router to the internet, so I must have done something right.

But being close doesn't help when Win 7 is refusing to talk.

Generally speaking, if somebody makes a post with a ton of information and it's a complex problem that I don't know a solution for, I generally just don't post responses. I know it's frustrating, as a good number of my posts don't get answers either...is I've often tried everything that is common.

I'll take another read and see if I can think of something to suggest...but if I don't have anything solid or reasonable, I won't respond...thus 1 more read without a response.
