No sound again. Help me.

still need help

I have a Gateway 7326 laptop.
It was XP and now, it runs on windows 7 because i upgraded.
Now the sound doesn't work.
Im guessing the driver doesn't support windows 7. is there anything i can do?

or am i just going to have to go back to XP so i have sound?

Hello there, my answer might be late, but the solution by lekennedy works! I had to take one extra step, just need to go the device manager, update driver to the one you ran as an administrator, and restart. It works!
