Solved No sound from external speakers or headphones

hello everyone i desperately need help i had windows xp and formatted my laptop then installed windows 7 home basic but while i had perfectly audio system in previous windows now i can't hear anything when i plug in my speakers or headphones(tested on my phone they work with it) however my internal laptop speakers work nicely though i guess i messed up with some drivers not sure how i can sort this out please any ideas to fix this ?

Hello and welcome to the forums georgehagi.

It will 100% be a driver issue.

My suggestion is to go to Dell support website, search for your laptop and install any drivers you can find for audio, hopefully there will be some for windows 7.

thanks but unfortunately in dell website there is no audio driver download i already checked it
