No Sound

I have an Asus CM1630, and have been having audio problems.

Symptoms:

1. No Sound
2. Pops when sound device is plugged in through speakers.

Tried:

1. Different speakers
2. Drivers are updated
3. Restarting speakers and computer.

Anything I am missing or can try?

Windows 7 64 bit, I have not installed any new parts. Everything works like there should be sound, just..no sound.
