What sound card does your second computer have (if any other than on-board)? Try finding driver updates for it. If you have the Realtek HD Audio driver, download this update: Realtek

If you need a different driver, go ahead and look for updates for it.

I'm not quite sure what else to do, sorry. I updated my drivers when the Stereo Mix wasn't showing up, and it worked for me, but I guess not you. Just better wait for the experts to come XD

Maybe just maybe the simple answer is the right one. You don't have Stereo Mix, your hardware that is.

Some sound cards just don't support stereo mix on Windows 7.

Your choice are the following, any of which MIGHT work in your case:

Get another sound card known to support stereo mix on Windows 7

Use other drivers, such as those for Vista. Try to install them in compatibility mode.

Run an RCA patch cable from your sound card speaker outputs to the sound card microphone inputs.

I have had the same problem of no stereo mix on my Windows 7. I tried all the recommended downloads, but still nothing. Then I see a post from someone who works as a technician in the industry, saying that it isn't a driver problem, it's the make of your computer. Brands such as Dell, Acer and a few others, have signed an agreement with 'The Man' to not have stereo mix...... Anyway, you can get around this by downloading AUDACITY. When done, go to Edit, Preferences, Recording. In the top panel select WASAPI from the drop down...... Now, all you have to do is press record, and it will record directly from what is being imput to your speakers. :D
