It's this PC I'm using right now. When I set it to DHCP it works every time.

All you have to do is:

That's all you have to do. It will still use DHCP but it always get the same IP address. When connected to work router or other hotspot.... it just gets a dynamic address from that dhcp server.

So a much beter solution!

About the english output.... a lot is wrong. Most likely registry stuff. Any idea why? For example did you install win7 english and installed a language pack?

Manual: the best I found is attached in the zip (http://192.168.1.250/helpbasic.html <-- a local address)
English output: I think Windows wasn't fully translated yet, when I bought this PC (March 2010) and since it was so long ago, I don't remember anything related to the installation of this PC.

Try to upgrade firmware

I have the install CD to this PC and I don't know what language it's in, but the cover is in English. It probably has my language pack.

This is the only CD available to me right now (except the x32 version and the driver&utility CD).
