Gene24, because of the errors you've run across, I think I would first verify your hardware is in working order before buying Windows again. Can you download files and burn CD/DVD's or write to a USB flash drive?

And before purchasing anything, you may want to download the iso from the link that Ztruker posted, burn it and try to do a Startup Repair using that.
