I re-installed windows 7 due to the old version not working with my new raid drive, i went to the asus and intel websites on my laptop and downloaded drives to a disk then installed those onto my new install but it keep saying that no networks are available. I've tried every fix that i found with google bu none of them seemed to work and just to add insult to injury the most helpful things windows has come up with are "search the web for help" and "find an antivirus online", I decided you guys would have more helpful suggestions. Network adapter is an 'Intel(R) 86527V-2 Gigabit Network Connection' according to windows device manager if that helps, going into the properties window it says it is working correctly so i don't think its a driver problem

You mention you are trying to connect wirelessly but the Network Adaptor you described as the 'Intel(R) 86527V-2 Gigabit Network Connection' is of course for a wired connection not wireless.

You will need a wireless NIC in order to connect wirelessly needless to say. :)

I just looked in the device manager again and there is a network controller in 'other devices' which doesnt have any drivers installed, could that be it?

Most likely that's it, but without the name of the adaptor I can't help you find the drivers, usually just going to Windows update using the wired connection will sort this out for you. :)

If you have a wireless NIC then the name should be showing up in Device Manager, when in Device Manager you may need to go to the "View" tab then select "show hidden devices".

It showed some new things under network devices, Microsoft ISATAP (there were three of these, numbered accordingly) and 8 different WAN Miniport things with different stuff written after them
