Let me guess, you're trying to copy files into a folder located within "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)"? This is because those two locations, as well as "C:\Windows" are protected by the operating system, in order to help prevent corruption.

As far games are concerned, I have only one solution. When installing the games, make sure it doesn't go to the default location. For example, when I installed Diablo II, the default location is "C:\Program Files\Blizzard\Diablo 2", so I changed the install location to "C:\Games\Diablo 2".

Since "C:\Games" is a user-created folder, it isn't protected as much as the system folders, and so you won't have programs as you're having.

On other solution is to take ownership of the "Program Files" folders, although this does present a security problem, because it effectively removes the default protection that is enforced by Windows.

Better to leave that alone and install your games into a user-created folder...
