By my picky account, my computer generally performs flawlessly.

But the perfectionist in me is bothered by these two errors that regularly appear in my Event Viewer:

One is 7022, The Wondershare Application Framework Service service hung on starting. - This appears during the daily restart I do.

The other is 2001, and it says the following:
Microsoft Antimalware has encountered an error trying to update signatures.
New Signature Version:
Previous Signature Version: 1.261.77.0
Update Source: Microsoft Malware Protection Center
Update Stage: Search
Source Path: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?Lin...7.0&prod=EDB4FA23-53B8-4AFA-8C5D-99752CCA7094
Signature Type: AntiSpyware
Update Type: Full
User: NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
Current Engine Version:
Previous Engine Version: 1.1.14500.5
Error code: 0x800704e8
Error description: The remote system is not available. For information about network troubleshooting, see Windows Help.

This, I guess, happens sometimes when Microsoft Antimalware is updating. I checked my Microsoft Security Essentials, and it's updated, with the last update being about 45 minutes after the last time I got that error.

Suggestions so that I might "purify" my computer by eliminating these errors?

Other than seeing them in my Event Viewer, they give me no problem or grief.

Hi 450125,

Re Wondershare
unless you need it immediately on startup
You can remove it from start-up via System config .. services.. untick it
or from local services.. change to manual

If you do need it at startup
local services change to Auto-delayed.

RE MSE

Nothing you really do about this - servers do go "down" at times

(Dont use MSE try another.)

Thanks for the Wondershare tip. I know I can google it - and did - but what is it and why would I have it? The Wondershare folder in my programs area appeared on 9/21/2017, and I have absolutely no memory of wanting it or knowingly installing it.

Regarding MSE, for a long time I used Avast! as my free antivirus program. 2-3 years ago - see Cautionary Avast! tale - Windows 7 Help Forums - I started getting BSODs related to it, and went with MSE and have never had a problem. Actually, all the other Windows computers in the house I put AVG free on and we've never had a problem. I don't need to be "saved from myself" so to speak, so don't need high-wattage protection. What would you recommend instead of MSE?

Hi,

from what i gather Wondershare has something to do with Videos, what else did you install on that date

If your going to uninstall, id go for using Revo, seems to be a little devil in this regard.

Avast/AVG are now the same company, I'm using Panda and Bitdefender, both free, on mine.
my preference of the two is Bitdefender,

Roy
