Not able to 'Switch User' in my Win 7

For about a couple of weeks now I cannot seem to be able to switch to either my Guest user account or any other account for that matter (I had added my roommate as another user for the past year and things were running smoothly). I subsequently deleted his account after this problem started but STILL cannot switch into the GUEST account.

The switch user page loads, but immediately after clicking on the GUEST icon, the screen attempts to switch by changing BUT a few seconds into the mode reads "logging off" and then immediately reverts back to the icon screen with no progress.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. This is kinda frustrating, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try to disable the Guest account and re-enable it.

It might help or your Guest account has corrupted somehow.

Thank you. I (being the Administrator) have done that a few times with no success.
I had one other user(my roommate) and I deleted his account completely after we could no longer log into it. The Guest account has the same problem, I click on it and the screen tries to change but shows a "LOGGING OFF" message and in a few seconds comes back to the ICON (administrator and Guest) screen for you to click on them again.

I can click on my icon(administrator) and log on to my stuff as I'm here typing this now BUT the other/guest account I still have no success logging into at all.

still no luck in solving this, disabled Guest account and enabled it, problem still persists

Has anyone found a fix for the error reported? I'm experiencing the same issue.
